Parameters
Skills
- Riding (EX): Rides the wind, humanity, and the world itself. Pestilence needs no horse of flesh; contagion is the mount.
- Magic Resistance (C): Standard Rider-class resistance at a modest rank, enough to blunt ordinary magecraft while infection does the real work.
- Contagion (A): Spreads disease through contact and presence. The infected are pulled toward a dream underworld shaped around Tsubaki's sealed sleep.
- Innocent World (EX): Tsubaki's innocent dream becomes a world that overwrites waking Snowfield. Pale Rider exists inside that sealed kindness as its guardian pestilence.
- Guidance of the Underworld (EX): Leads the infected along a dark path into a pestilent dream-underworld rather than a conventional afterlife or battlefield death.
Noble Phantasms
- Doomsday Come (Come, Dark Path, Come) · Anti-World (EX): The advent of pestilence as a world-scale phenomenon. A dark path opens and catastrophe is invited in, treating plague as a planetary event rather than a single rider's charge.
- Kagome Kagome (Sword, Famine, Death, Beast) · Anti-Army (A): A children's circling song that isolates victims inside a ritual game. Sword, famine, death, and beast close in as calamities, turning a playground chant into an Anti-Army cage.
Personality
Toward Tsubaki it is gentle, almost childlike: Mr. Black, a companion in a dream. Toward everyone else it is an impersonal system of infection—neither cruel for sport nor merciful by policy. True Neutral fits a phenomenon that simply spreads.
Story in Fate
Pale Rider is summoned inside the dream of Tsubaki Kuruoka, a dying child sealed by her magus parents, as a formless black cloud rather than a humanoid knight. It is a system-type Servant of pestilence, nicknamed Mr. Black by the girl who cannot wake. It infects people in Snowfield and draws them into a dream underworld under Innocent World. Despite the alias of the pale horseman, this entity is not the Rider of Revelation; Type-Moon frames it as a planetary death/pestilence system wearing a biblical nickname.
Relationships
- Tsubaki Kuruoka — Master; a sealed child who summoned it in a dream and named it Mr. Black.
- Snowfield's infected — Carried into the dream underworld as the contagion spreads.
- False Holy Grail War — Deployed as False Rider among the false set of Servants.
Trivia
- Tsubaki's nickname Mr. Black is the only 'human' name it answers to in Snowfield.
- It can exist at parvovirus scale, so height and weight are infection-dependent.
- Kagome Kagome turns a Japanese children's song into a four-calamity barrier.
- Published profiles treat gender as a concept that does not apply to this Saint Graph.
